毛兔品種培育。(1)毛兔商場需求?，F(xiàn)在兔毛產(chǎn)品，紡高支紗、做輕浮產(chǎn)品是個方向。一方面契合服裝向輕浮化展開的潮流，另外也易于處理原兔毛產(chǎn)品存在的掉毛、起球、縮水三大難題，因此對細度的要求較高。(2)培育適宜商場的兔毛品種。通過調(diào)研發(fā)現(xiàn)，現(xiàn)在養(yǎng)殖的長毛兔，細毛細度偏粗，多為16～17微米，因此，對毛兔的培育不能將關鍵只放在前進產(chǎn)量上，而應根據(jù)產(chǎn)品的需求概括考慮。對毛長的要求比細度要低些，毛長3～4厘米的兔毛，即可滿足紡紗的要求，而毛長2厘米左右的兔毛可以用來與棉進行混紡。

養(yǎng)毛期的判定。長毛兔的養(yǎng)毛期要根據(jù)毛紡商場的需求靈活把握。筆者對不同養(yǎng)毛期兔毛生長速度和纖維細度進行了測定，結果表明，兔毛前期生長速度(1～20天)逾越1毫米/天，往后的生長速度逐步減慢。50天養(yǎng)毛期，兔毛長度可抵達35毫米，60天挨近40毫米，70天背部兔毛可抵達50毫米。實踐生產(chǎn)中可根據(jù)各地不同的氣候特征及商場需求，恰當調(diào)整養(yǎng)毛期，晚春至早夏時節(jié)，選用50～70天的養(yǎng)毛期，兔毛可抵達紡織要求。

兔籠的締造。現(xiàn)在長毛兔養(yǎng)殖運用的兔籠多為水泥預制，以水泥預制板作為兔籠的周圍面和后背板，后背板制有條縫、小圓孔，或靠后背板與承糞板之間的縫隙進行通風，前面設備金屬絲制籠門。這種兔籠比較穩(wěn)固，但影響兔籠前后的通風作用，晦氣長毛兔呼吸系統(tǒng)疾病的控制。
